We received a delivery of some seed potatoes from the Grow Your Own Potatoes project. The first job was to let the shoots of the seed potato grow longer and tougher in order for new potatoes to grow. We found out that this is called chitting. The group took the potatoes to their classrooms to look after for a week weeks. The next job is to get the seed potatoes planted and wait for them to grow!
