Here at Green Lane we believe that we strive to inspire and educate our pupils for a “Life in all in its fullness” whilst understanding that we need to encourage and nurture our pupils so they develop a wide range of moral, spiritual, intellectual, civic and performance character values.
Science teaching at Green Lane inspires our children to have an understanding of natural phenomena through the disciplines of chemistry, physics and biology. We aim to inspire and stimulate children’s curiosity to help them find out how and why things happen in the way they do; to teach methods of enquiry and investigation to stimulate creative thought whilst encouraging their development of team work and academic excellence through aspirational, creative teaching and support. Our children learn to ask scientific questions and begin to appreciate the way in which science will affect the future on a personal, national, and global level whilst encouraging them to appreciate their roles and responsibilities in society today.
